OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

WHAT IS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY?
OUR APPROACH....

Occupational therapists (OT’s) work to break down the barriers which hold back individuals in carrying out their day to day activities. OT’s not only look at the physical effects of ageing, injury or disease, but also address the psycho-social, community and environmental factors that influence functional ability.

OT's look to assess what you can and can't do both physically and mentally. OT's then look to address this by prescribing appropriate assistive devices such as specialised cooking equipment, personal care equipment, mobility equipment, assistive technology and environmental adjustments, like inputting different or raising existing furniture etc. OT's look to maximise your potential in your appropriate living environment increasing your independence for as long as possible.

Our therapists combine sound clinical knowledge, professional experience and absolute integrity to deliver an unsurpassed quality of care, delivering services in our clients' own homes.

Whether you are looking for support for yourself or a family member, our skilled and motivated practitioners always provide the quality of care that we would desire for our own families - the very best. We know that every case is difference, so we listen to understand yourgoals in order to tailor our care to your needs.

Our practice is based on our reputation for building trusted relationships with our clients. Since ethics are at the heart of our vocation as health care professionals, we always recommend alternatives to our own services if we believe they are better suited to your particular needs.
