PAEDIATRICS
Conditions/Injuries we see....
Paediatrics is a highly specialised area of physiotherapy. If you are keen for your son or daughter to be seen by a healthcare professional, ensure they are specialised in the area. Here at 4front Physiotherapy we have specialist paediatric physiotherapists who are very experienced in assessing, treating and managing a plethora of paediatric conditions, developmental disorders, and injuries.
If your child is developing differently to other children, or if your child is complaining of aching or pains, please do not ignore this. Get in touch with our specialist paediatric physiotherapist's who will answer some of your concerns for free if you submit a question via the contact tab on our main page. If required we will arrange a review in your own home to make the assessment less stressful for the child. We regualrly find that children are much more compliant with physiotherapy when it is in and around their own environment.
We also work closely with schools in the East Sussex area, to help educate teachers and teaching assistants to help them manage with child development issues and to improve areas such as handwriting or cognitive processing. We also help teachers and teaching assistants acknowledge when the child needs to be referred to a specialist and help them identify any underlying problems. This association with 4front Physiotherapy is unique to only a few primary schools at present, but aim to implement the programme accross the primary schools in East Sussex and beyond. We have seen significant improvements in the children's handwriting and other fine/gross motor skills, as well as improved social skills and cognitive processing via our uniquely designed programme that is specific to the childs needs. Teachers and teaching assistants are trained by us to carry out the programme to promote excellent carry over.
